Quite Rightly
I went this moring with my father to do my yearly purchase of a lulav and esrog.
Is it just me, or is it that this year they are of a more pale yellow than usual? I also noticed that most of them had a lopsided pitom.

We need to determine the RGB color code and compare to next year! :)
It could be due to a different source (ie Israel vs Morocco).

No, they were from Israel.
It could be the grower's crop. I ended up with a "greener" from Kfar Chabad that is very slowly turning yellow.
